BACKGROUND

1976
Born in Bromley on 21st May 1976. Trained locally and then at as a Junior Associate, then both Lower and Upper Royal Ballet Schools.
1993
Danced the pas de deux in Matthew Hart's Simple Symphony and appeared in Ninette de Valois' Checkmate in the Royal Ballet School's performance.
1994
Danced in Frederick Ashton's Monotones II and the pas de six from Napoli Act III in the Royal Ballet School's performance.
Joined the Royal Ballet as Artist in December.
1996
Created roles in Ashley Page's Sleeping with Audrey and Two Part Invention.
1997
Created role in Cathy Marson's Figure in Progress.
1998
Promoted to First Artist at the end of the 1997/98 season.
Created roles in Ashley Page's When We Stop Talking, Cheating, Lying, Stealing and Sawdust and Tinsel.
1999
Created role in Ashley Page's Hidden Variables and Siobhan Davies' A Stranger's Taste.
2000
Created roles in Wayne McGregor's Symbiont[s] and Matthew Hart's Acheron's Dream.
2001
Promoted to Soloist.
Created role in Ashley's Page's This House Will Burn.
Named Best Male Newcomer at the Critics' Circle Dance Awards.
2002
Promoted to First Soloist.
Created roles in Unstrung Tension and Between Shadows for the Artists' Development Initiative, and in Christopher Wheeldon's Tryst.
2003
Created role in Wayne McGregor's Qualia.

Promoted to Principal.
